Pop Culture Round-up

2020 was sure a weird year, am I right? With everything that went on over the year, a lot of different stuff was happening in pop culture as well. From canned water to move body-positive commercials and ads. Let's go through some highlights of the past year in pop culture.

Canned Water

Is actually a good thing, as people become more environmentally cautious. Aluminum is more eco-friendly than plastic. How cool is it that Jason Momoa has a line of canned water out?

You can find it here: Water

Special Edition Game consoles

I don't know how many of you tried to buy a Nintendo Switch over the past year.  Well, you probably ended up with none, and if you were really lucky, then you scored one. One of the most popular console editions of the Switch was the Animal Crossing edition. I for one could care less about it, but if it meant I could actually get a console, I was in. ( However I still have had no luck, so I bought a lite instead). Now going into the 4th month of 2021, most places are still sold out of Switch consoles. Other limited edition consoles that came out for the PS4 last year included "The Last of Us 2" edition.

Fitness on Social Media

I really hope that people don't lose interest in this trend. I think that physical activity and fitness are so important, for so many reasons. I have been noticing a lot of people starting Youtube fitness channels, and I think it's great that other people are getting more people involved. It has created more of a community, and outreach for the people that don't really know how to get started in a fitness routine. Also, like so many of us, have been stuck in their homes, with no gym access.

Body positive ads/commercials and minimalism

It is so great that commercials and ads are becoming more inclusive. I love seeing all kinds of people from all walks of life. You know the way the world actually is. I think that this is so great for these new generations to see more inviting and inclusive ad and commercial campaigns. Something good for the year 2020 and I hope it continues for the upcoming years.

Minimalism, we have talked about a little bit on a previous podcast. Minimalism has become more and more popular, as the generations change. It is something that may be different for different people. From collecting minimalism to just plan downsizing their homes, more and more people are taking minimalism quite seriously. Is this something that you have been thinking about, or already do? Let me know down in the comments section or on social media.
